Moov uses a scientifically proven formula to estimate your Max Heart Rate value. This estimate may vary for individuals depending on body weight, gender, and fitness level. Which is why Moov allows you to adjust your maximum heart rate before your first heart rate workout, or anytime in the Settings menu.
Adjusting your maximum heart rate may affect the quality of your workout and may have serious medical consequences. That is why we recommend adjust the heart rate only if you have performed a stress test under the supervision of a medical professional and have obtained a different tested max heart rate number.
We advise that you not conduct a max heart rate stress test on your own without the supervision of a medical professional, since tests like these can have serious risks.
